Britannia Bay also has a reef to explore if you choose to continue snorkeling or you could choose a taxi tour of the island where as names such as Shania Twain, Mick Jagger, Tommy Hilfiger, have their mansions pointed out on route; a very manicured island with a large population of land turtles and mules; golf buggies that are rented as transport. The tour ends at Basil’s Bar, which is a perfect place to watch the sunset over a lime daiquiri or another popular cocktail. There are about three boutiques in Britannia Bay, worth perusing for a souvenir of Mustique.
During the more popular months Basil hosts Jan and Uncle Luis two very talented musician that play keyboard and sax. If some of the more talented rich & famous are on the island they often join in for a spontaneous jam session; Nick Mason is often around closer to Christmas. Sunday evenings at Basil’s hosts Karaoke for the yachting and land community, Wednesday nights are jump up nights, more lively Soca music of the islands.
