The Crew
Sand Dollar began with Captain Gary, an English sailor who crossed the Atlantic on a 35 foot monohull and came to Trinidad. He discovered First Mate Leah amongst a beach of Sand Dollars on the south-east coast. They fell in love and got married on that very same beach in Mayaro.
With Captain Gary being a sailor and First Mate Leah growing up by the sea they soon bought a yacht, a 30 ft Carter and started Sand Dollar Sailing Charters.
Captain Markus is a German sailor and he joined the Sand Dollar team a few years later. Captain Markus used to Captain Kalina Cats a Tobago catamaran. After its dissolve he brought Sybille a 35 foot Dufour into the business.
Sand Dollar Sailing Charters operates out of Tobago waters. We are based in Store Bay and we run yacht charter holidays; day charters, weekend charters and week charters We offer bareboat and flotilla sails. We are a very unique sailing family and invite you all to come and see for yourselves!
